Day of Action – Darnhill

Rochdale Borough Council
10th September 2025

A group of people from different organisations took part in a day of action on 2nd September in Darnhill.

Volunteers from community run groups or organisations and people from services wanted to make up a picture of what its like in Darn Hill and the best people to tell Rochdale Borough Council (and partners) are the people who live here.

RBC went out knocking on doors to talk to people about the things that matter to them, there were also a wide range of organisations based in the library to offer advice and support or just to chat over a brew and a biscuit.

The insight RBC gather together will help to shape services for communities and help people along the way.

Days of Action are going to begin to happen more regularly, this is the second (02/09/25) but the plan is for them to take place in different neighbourhoods or across the borough. They will either be focusing on a place, or on a theme or both – or something else depending on what a community team (which is people from the community and people from the system working together) needs to explore more deeply.
